Usborne Sticker Soldiers, Great Little-Boy History Fun from Timberdoodle!
My little guy just finished Kindergarten. Part of his history curriculum was something we’ll be using again this year–Usborne’s historical sticker books. We used the Usborne Sticker Dressing Soldiers book from Timberdoodle to try out the series and we loved it! I was surprised that the book was so huge. The soldiers throughout history were fun and cute, but also historically accurate. Soldiers throughout the world and our country for the last thousands of years were featured. Most of the wars or time period included a large 2-page spread for the soldiers and each soldier had numerous pieces of his uniform to stick on. Each also included a paragraph about the soldiers duties and the time period. Even I learned quite a lot from this book. As for my son, he learned a ton and gained more of an interest in history.
Usborne also has Sticker Dressing books on Knights, Rescue Missions, Explorers, and the Second World War all of which are sold at our favorite homeschool store, Timberdoodle. I’m planning to use all of them as part of my little guy’s 1st grade curriculum this year.
If you have any homeschool recommendations on products we should try, let me know. I’m always eager for new suggestions for my 1st and 3rd graders!
Special thanks to Timberdoodle and the Doodle Dollars Program for providing us with this review opportunity!
