I’ve been married for 14 years, have one son through adoption after years of infertility. I am also a registered nurse, but am not currently working. My passion as an RN is labor & delivery. I love Jesus. I love my family, I love my friends. Children make me smile. So do sunflowers. I was recently diagnosed with Lupus, but rather than toxic drugs, I am attempting to control symptoms with a (mostly) vegan diet.

Why do you blog?
I try to blog at least 3 times a week. I took a hiatus this summer and am just now getting back into the swing of things. I start blogging mostly as a way to keep track of what we were doing in school. Now I do it more to share information and offer encouragement to other homeschool moms.

Why do you homeschool?
We homeschool in order to disciple our son. That’s it. Jesus spent years training his disciples before letting them out into the world, and they were grown men. I believe He desires nothing less for our children.

Do you have any hobbies?
I wish I had time for more hobbies! I do crochet, read voraciously, and love sweet tea. I don’t have a blog for any of these passions though čÖé
