I am a stay-at-home Mom of 3 fun, interesting kids (ages 12, 9 and 6). We live in the boonies of western Maine, in the valley of a 1000 ft evergreen-covered mountain, near a pond named after coffee. We LOVE our rural life (with the convenience of a city 45 minutes away)! We’re a bunch that enjoy camping, strolling in the woods, playing boardgames, and cooking.

Why do you blog?
Blogging is a fun, creative way for me to share our homeschooling and Sensory Processing Disorder with family, friends and other homeschoolers. I started blogging 4 years ago on Homeschool Blogger, switching to Blogger this past December, and I post about every other day or a few times a week.

Why do you homeschool?
We homeschool to allow our children to work at the level that challenges, but doesn’t frustrate them. I have a gifted child, an average child and a developmentally challenged child. We can choose curriculum that best supports THEIR learning needs. They have plenty of time to explore interests, read and play outside every day, and participate in a wide range of activities with homeschoolers and public schooled friends.
