I have been blogging for just under one year and love it! I have two children, both in middle school; one will be in high school next year. Admittedly, I am nervous about the high school years. I love learning new things and reading random books.

North Laurel Home and School

Why do you blog?
I blog for myself. It is relaxing and helps me organize my thoughts. But I also blog reviews of products that I’ve used, giving readers an honest opinion. Originally I started to blog because I was having a difficult time with record keeping for our homeschool. It isn’t required in my state but I like to be able to look back on accomplishments. Now, along with reviews and record keeping, my blog is my catch-all for my day to day life.

Why do you homeschool?
We homeschool because we love our children. It breaks my heart to have my kids away in an environment that I consider unhealthy for 6+ hours a day. It is easier to instill the characteristics and traits that we feel are important to produce healthy, productive citizens through schooling at home.

Do you have any home businesses?
http://www.lossolleff.artfire.com It is more of a hobby than a business. I really enjoy using scrapbooking paper to make envelopes and cards.
