Using Common Sense to Save Cents!

Household Cents was created to share ideas and tips on how to save money and pinch a few pennies.
Our family of 6 lives on one income which can be a little difficult in this two-income culture.  But the privilege I have of staying home to raise our children far outweighs anything another income could bring us.
I enjoy meeting the challenge to stretch every dollar as far as I possibly can.  Feel free to stretch with me.

Why do you homeschool?
We have homeschooled from the beginning. When our oldest daughter was ready to start school, we lived out in the middle of nowhere in the northwoods of Wisconsin and we just weren’t comfortable sending our little 5 year old on a bus for an hour and a half in the morning and in the afternoon. So, we decided to homeschool her for her first year of Kindergarten. Well, that’s all it took. Our whole family fell in love with homeschooling and we haven’t looked back since. It’s a perfect fit for us.

Why do you blog?
I started blogging 3 years ago in order to have a creative outlet for myself. It has turned into a fun hobby that can be challenging but is very rewarding. I try to blog at least 2-3 times a week.
