Under the Golden Apple Tree

Richele Under The Golden Apple Tree
I am a history loving, Eclectic, Charlotte Mason flavored, homeschooling mom to four beautiful children. I believe education should foster creativity, critical thinking, and curiosity. I believe parenting should foster a love for God, God’s Word, service and family. All my blessings which come from victories and trials are a product of a loving God who gives unending mercy and grace to His imperfect children. Praise God for mercy…if I could wear it out I would have a long time ago. View my complete profile

Why do you homeschool?
I decided to homeschool to provide my children a quality education in a manner I felt was the most effective. In addition, I felt led by the Lord to begin this endeavor which has been a blessing to me and my family. I enjoy spending time with my children and being the one who guides them as they grow.

Do you have a home business or hobby?
I launched a new business this year (2011) with my friend and partner called Christian Graces. We plan tea parties, celebrations and events with a Christian emphasis for children. We also host workshops and classes on Godly etiquette, modesty and more! Christian Graces operates on a local level yet we will be selling our lessons and unit studies online through our website and CurrClick. Visit us at www.christiangraces.com.

Why do you blog?
I started blogging to house my writing. Soon blogging turned into a passion as I connected with other moms and found sharing my daily life was a welcome outlet. I became thrilled as opportunities began to spring up and enjoy contributing where I can. I enjoy encouraging women in faith and in homeschooling efforts. My goal is to be a guide for excellent curriculum and products for families. You can find me blogging about 3 times a week on my personal blog along with contributing to other blogs throughout the week.
